FertiCult™ Aspiration medium is a ready to use formulation for oocyte pick-up and/or follicular flushing.

Component Benefit
HEPES (18 mM)

HEPES stabilizes the pH under air (Clark and Swain 2014), therefore CO2 incubation is not required.

Heparin sodium (2.5 IU/ml)

Heparin is added to the media to avoid blood clot formation in the tubing during aspiration and/or flushing of oocytes in Assisted Reproductive Technologies.

Heparin is naturally present in the uterine, tubal and follicular fluid (Agostini 2006), (Yanagishita 1994).

Prospective randomized trial revealed that heparinized saline or culture medium (2 IU/ml) allow for successful follicle flushing (Biljan, et al. 1997).
