Frequently asked questions for: VitriFreeze ES™/VitriThaw ES™

FAQ1: Does the volume of T1 really has to be 1ml?
A large volume is needed for the first warming step (500µl is also sufficient). In this first step, it is important that the tip of the straw is moved when plunged in the medium, and the dish is shaken at the same time. This to avoid decreasing temperature around the embryo (avoid recrystallization and aggregation of lethal ice crystals).

FAQ2: Can all steps be performed at 37°C?
This is possible, but not necessary. Equal performances are expected when cooling and warming is done at 20-25°C. Make sure that the media and embryos have the same temperature to avoid shock!
